EntreMundos has developed and adopted three principal policies: any individual person or organization interested in one of our services and programs must review them carefully and commit to fulfilling their principles. We recommend that our volunteers familiarize themselves with these policies.
Our Policy on the Protection of Children is an accord between EntreMundos and the institutions with which we work. This document describes the lines and conditions of cooperation between EntreMundos and external partners, based on a commitment to the defense and protection of children.
The code of conduct for volunteers who interact with minors was drafted with the objective of protecting the children, organizations, and the volunteers themselves in the event of unfortunate situations. This document informs volunteers about appropriate behavior, and also directs local organizations to pay attention to the risks that are involved in the interaction between children and volunteers.
The Guide for Volunteer Behavior lists the expectations that EntreMundos and collaborating organizations have for volunteer behavior and ethics. The objective is to provide our volunteers with all the necessary information about what is expected of them and their indispensable service (Terms of Reference) and to create solid bases for positive and fruitful collaboration between host organizations and the volunteers that want to accomplish short-term or medium-term work, and at the same time learn about the culture, history, language, politics, and current events of Guatemala. We encourage all organizations to develop their own policies on volunteer management. Feel free to use our guide as a template or guide.
The Transparency Policy. As an organization that takes pride in the honesty, justice, and integrity of its work, EntreMundos presents its annual technical and financial reports to the General Assembly and the institution’s Board of Directors, as well as our international donors.
Additionally, we make our work reports public so that all interested entities and persons can read them, download them, and send us comments, suggestions, questions, and feedback.
